About Us

Our names are Richard and Denise, we are a husband and wife who share a passion for all things American. Richard always had an interest in American vehicles from an early age, but like most teenagers never thought he could afford to by, insure and run one. (How wrong he was!)

A couple of years ago we looked into buying a Chevy Caprice but sadly it needed a lot of T.L.C. and money spending on her so we let her go. A couple of months later we found ourselves ooking at a Jeep Renegade. Next thing I knew Rich was handing over the cash and we were then the very proud owners of out first yank. She was brilliant (yes she had her faults but we didn't care). She was a 5 litre V8 in pillar box red with a grey soft top on. Boy did she draw in the attention. The neighbours were not too impressed when we used to start her up early on a Sunday morning ready for our day trip out to Wales, sadly we can't please everyone. A lot of fun was had in this beast of a machine, many a time she went to the beach or over the water to visit friends with us. Sadly the day came when we decided to sell her and let someone else share our pleasure and fun.

Time passed by and reality hit us. After owning Jaguars and Range Rovers we both decided we needed another yank in our family. Rich searched high and low and finally pointed out to me a yank on ebay. There she was, a Chevy Blazer K5. She was manufactured in 1976 and had been left standing for a while. Against everyones advice we bid on her and won her without viewing. Two days later we where off to Suffolk with a trailor on the back of my Range Rover (my then pride and joy). Four hours later we where there ad quickly realised the seller was wrong in saying she was the same width and length of a Range Rover, she was NOT going tofit on the trailor!! Three days later we hired a van and a car transporter. There was no way we where coming back without her this time. She went on the trailor no problem and we set off home. We got a lot of looks and stares by passing vehicles on the motorway. I must admit she looked absolutely massive.

In June this year Rich spotted another vehicle on ebay. He shouted me in to come and see. It was a 1996 Chevy Camaro Z28 5.7 Litre V8. She was absolutely stunning. We emailed the seller asking questions and eventually spoke on the phone. Bidding was fierce but sadly the reserve was not met. A day later (Monday) I rang the seller, Dennis, and questioned him again. Dennis then promised me I would love her and was so determined about it that he offered to bring her up to Liverpool from Dover. Thursday eveing I was on tender hooks, I sat stareing out of the window, my heart was pounding. All of a sudden I dived up from my chair, frightening the life out of Rich and our two young chidren. She had arrived. She was definately stunning, and yes as a result I did buy her. That evening my baby (Range Rover) was put up for sale. I had a new love now and wanted to give her all my attention and show her off. The St. Helens Festival was on in July and Rich and Ientered our vehicles in the American Car Section. At the end of the Sunday the judgeing took place, we clapped everyone who won a trophy and then to my amazement my reg was read out. I had won 1st prize fo Ladies Choice! I went up to the stand and was handed my trophy. I was and still am over the moon for winning it. In August a familiar thing appened, yes you have guess right, Rich had spotted another vehicle on the famous ebay. It was a 1986 Dodge Ram Charger. Luckily it was only local so we went to view her. She was lovely with a real nice body on her for her age, engine was sweet and all papers present. To say the least, yes we bought her and she is absolutely perfct.
